Questions
How accurate is this?
Measuring a ring that already fits is very close to a jeweller's measurement. The finger method is a good estimate. Calibrate carefully with the card first; that step decides the accuracy.
When is the card calibration right?
When the outline just hides under the card. Line showing: press −. Gap: press +.
I'm between two sizes
Pick the larger size. Tungsten and other hard metals can't be stretched, and wide bands (8 mm) feel tighter than thin ones.
When should I measure my finger?
At the end of the day, when your hands are warm. Fingers are smaller in the morning and in the cold. Measure the base of the finger, and make sure the ring will pass over your knuckle.
Can I measure without a card?
Use the size chart: wrap a strip of paper around your finger, mark where it overlaps, measure the length in millimetres and find the closest circumference.
